All too often, illness or injury appears out of the blue: You wake up in the middle of the night with intense abdominal pain. You stumble while carrying groceries up a flight of stairs and cannot put weight on your swollen ankle. Or your baby spikes a high fever on the weekend.
When these situations occur, we’re often faced with uncertainty about where to go for care, especially if the symptoms seem severe and our regular doctor’s office is closed, or we can’t get an appointment.
Turnure Medical Group Urgent Care provides compassionate care from an experienced physician, in a Christian environment.
Our doctors bring years of experience in ER and Urgent Care settings so that you and your loved ones can get the medical attention needed when you can’t wait for an appointment and don’t quite need an emergency room.
This is what a recent patient had to say…
There are countless joys of being a parent but one thing about being a parent that I could forgo is the anxiety and heartache you experience when your child is sick or hurt. I was across the house when I got a call, “Honey, Kellan hurt himself pretty bad. His head is split open, what should I do?” My heart dropped and I was immediately filled with dread. I could hear my 3-year-old son wailing in the background. I knew exactly what to do, “Stop the bleeding if you can and I will meet you at Turnure Urgent care.” Despite my panic at not knowing how severe my son had hurt himself I knew from years of past experiences that Dr. Vantassell could handle it with calm and deft hands.
I called the office to let them know we were coming and confirm they could get us in—we did not want to go to the ER if it could be avoided. They reassured me they would get us in and calmly asked me some triage questions.
When we arrived, we were quickly in a room and to my amazement the medical assistant had my son laughing as she cleaned the laceration on his head. Moments later Dr. Vantassell came in and his confident calm aura immediately relaxed my husband and me. He reassured us and was able to convince my son to stay still as he treated the cut. When we said our goodbyes, my son was smiling with a toy and my husband and I felt he euphoria of having happy and healthy boy again.

No. Workman’s Compensation insurance is contracted with specific doctors. We are happy to see you for any health problem or injury you may have regardless of where it occurred; however, if you require extensive treatment related to a workplace injury, a specialty office will probably need to be involved. This usually necessitates a Workman’s Comp provider well-versed in the rules and regulations of the complex Workman’s Comp system.
